Hotel Restaurant Feld is in Gurtnellen, in the Reuss valley in Uri, between Amsteg and Wassen. Wassen is where the Susten road begins, and Andermatt, the hub for the Gotthard, Furka and Oberalp passes, is a short ride further up the valley. The owner rides a motorcycle and has route descriptions to share, bikes go in a garage, and the restaurant means dinner is on site after a day on the passes. A practical, central base for riding the passes of central Switzerland.
