Haus Michael is in Engedey, just outside Berchtesgaden, in the Berchtesgadener Land. The Königssee is a few kilometres away, and the Alpine Road runs west from here through Ramsau towards Bad Reichenhall. Bikes have covered parking, and the house offers somewhere to dry wet gear, route tips and wifi. It is a quiet base away from the town centre with Salzburg and the Austrian roads close. On summer weekends, ride the Roßfeld panorama road early, before the traffic builds.
