Alpen Hotel Seimler is in Berchtesgaden, at the eastern end of the German Alpine Road in the far south-east corner of Bavaria. The Roßfeld panorama road, a toll road that climbs high above the town towards the Austrian border, is a few kilometres away, and Salzburg is close. The hotel has covered parking for bikes, somewhere to dry wet gear, route tips and wifi. Berchtesgaden is a busy town in summer, so book ahead and set out early for the Königssee road before the coaches arrive.
