Alpenhotel Sonneck is in Bad Hindelang in the Allgäu Alps, at the foot of the Oberjoch road (B308), which climbs in a stack of hairpins towards the Tannheim valley in Austria. The Riedberg Pass, the highest pass road in Germany, is a short ride to the west. Bikes have covered parking, and there is a corner with tools for small repairs, somewhere to dry wet gear, route tips and wifi. A good base for loops between the Allgäu and Tyrol.
