Hotel Bohinj is at Bohinjsko Jezero, at the eastern end of Lake Bohinj, on the edge of the Triglav National Park. It is a calm base on the quieter side of the Julian Alps: Bled is a short ride east down the Sava Bohinjka valley, and from Bled the road north through Kranjska Gora leads to the Vršič pass and the Soča valley. The lake road itself ends at the far shore, so evening rides tend to be short and scenic. No garage is listed, so ask about covered parking when you book, and plan for busy roads around Bled in summer.
