The Bay Horse Inn is in West Woodburn, on the A68 in Redesdale in the middle of Northumberland. It is well placed for the north: the A68 rolls on over the moors to Carter Bar and the Scottish border, and a short ride west through Bellingham brings you to Kielder Water and the forest. Hexham and the Military Road along Hadrian's Wall are within easy reach to the south. Fuel stops thin out up here, so fill up before the long empty stretches. As with most country inns, ask about off-road parking for the bike when you book.
