Vila Kristina is a bed and breakfast in Rovinj, on the west coast of Istria. Rovinj makes a pleasant base for a few days: the Lim channel, a long sea inlet with steep wooded sides, is just to the north, and the hill towns of the interior such as Motovun and Grožnjan are an easy morning ride on quiet, twisting roads. The old town is mostly closed to traffic and parking is tight in summer, so ask the hosts where to leave the bike. As a B&B, plan evening meals in town.
